专业介绍

The BA (Hons) Business Management and Sustainable Practice provides a solid grounding in the fundamentals of business management while equipping students with the skills required for industries transitioning towards a sustainable future. As companies work to achieve sustainability goals across net zero carbon, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability, future managers need the ability to advance businesses while adapting to these priorities.

The programme incorporates the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and UNESCO sustainability competencies within its modules, ensuring that students develop expertise in embedding change and responsible management within organisations. Real-world learning is central to the course, including engagement with live industry briefs, guest speakers from the business sector, and the opportunity to complete a placement year between the second and third years, allowing practical application of knowledge before graduation.

Chartered Management Institute (CMI) accreditation independently confirms that the course meets high professional standards in management and leadership, highlighting its quality. The curriculum combines interactive lectures and seminars, debates, discussions, field trips, and input from practitioners across the private, public, and third sectors. Students engage with both theoretical and contemporary literature, work on live case study briefs, and benefit from extensive practical application, enabling the concepts and models learned to be applied directly in business settings.
