The International Year One (IY1) is the first stage of a three-year integrated degree and is studied over three terms before progressing to the university. It is ideal for international students who do not meet the University’s direct entry requirements.

International Year One provides an intensive combination of first-year university subject modules with extra study and English language skills. Upon successful completion, students will continue to the second year of their chosen degree.

Course Overview

This course aims to develop and strengthen the student's understanding of business and management and the application of business principles in a corporate environment.

This course is equivalent to the first year of degree study and will strengthen their key business and management principles knowledge.

When a student studies business and management with the University of Greenwich, they will have the opportunity to pursue networking, mentoring and internship opportunities with global firms such as Apple, Barclays, Ford, Goldman Sachs, IBM, Microsoft, Northern Trust, Sony PlayStation, The Walt Disney Company, and Warner Music Group. Students will benefit from the Business School Employability Team who will support them to develop the career skills and help students to network with employers.
