专业介绍

Program Description

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the Leeds Beckett University International Study Centre. After completing the pathway, students will progress into a program at Leeds Beckett University. In an international foundation year students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance their skills as a student. Advancement into their intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.

This International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge in sciences and mathematics, as well as the English language skills necessary for success in an undergraduate program at Leeds Beckett University. Once a student completes this course they will be suitable for progression options in areas such as computing, biomedical sciences and civil engineering.

After completing this pathway, students will transition to the BA English & History program. There, they will learn to put the text into context by combining a love of literature with a passion for the past. This is a degree for innovative thinkers who will thrive on the stimulating and thought-provoking combination of English literature and history. Closely linked by ideas, approaches and source materials, students will learn about the relationship between the two subjects by critically and creatively focusing on particular time periods or themes.
