The 2-Semester Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Programme - Art and Design is a one-year programme offers successful students guaranteed progression to Loughborough University. This programme is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the university.

The International Foundation Programme is set at level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the United Kingdom. The two semester programme lasts one academic year [nine months]. Each semester includes, on average, 13 teaching weeks, one reading week and one assessment week. On average, students will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week. This programme includes English and three academic subject modules. English will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects, as well as being taught separately if they need additional support to develop their English language. They will be assessed at regular intervals throughout the programme to ensure they are making the progress required to successfully complete the programme. Full assessment of the programme will take place in the final semester. Assessment methodologies are aligned to those that will be experienced in the University environment, and include project work, essays, and presentations.

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Industrial Design:

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Industrial Design course develops specialist skills and abilities in the design and communication of ideas, interactions, and user experiences. It focuses on user research, three-dimensional design, product styling and form, the generation of prototypes and finished artefacts, manufacturing processes and CMF. Industrial Design emphasizes the ways that products are experienced by users. Throughout the course students will be expected to apply their understanding of branding, future concepting and responsible design practice to the creation of future product service systems.
