Program Description

Build a future by studying in the UK, with a pathway course at Kaplan International College (KIC) London. Situated in the world’s top academic city (QS Best Student Cities 2019), the College will prepare students for a university degree, and for a successful career.

Study at one of the most respected international colleges in London, and progress to one of 8 universities, including the University of Bristol.

The University of Bristol is a highly ranked Russell Group university with a fantastic reputation. Students will join a global community of students from more than 150 countries, and enjoy life in one of the UK’s most exciting cities.

This joint honours degree combines a full course in music with the study of Portuguese language, literature and culture, providing students with a valuable skill set that is ideally tailored to the increasingly globalised workplace.

Music offers a broad range of units in musicology, composition and performance, across diverse styles and genres. These are complemented by weekly concerts, regular masterclasses and performances in the department, and opportunities to get involved in the dynamic music scene in the city of Bristol.

Portuguese is the seventh most widely spoken language in the world and is an official language of nine countries across four continents. The rise of the Brazilian and Angolan economies means Portuguese speakers are increasingly in demand.

Students will spend a third year abroad in a Portuguese-speaking environment, which will enable them to refine their language skills and cultural knowledge.
