Program Description

Build a future by studying in the UK, with a pathway course at Kaplan International College (KIC) London. Situated in the world’s top academic city (QS Best Student Cities 2019), the College will prepare students for a university degree, and for a successful career.

Study at one of the most respected international colleges in London, and progress to one of 8 universities, including the University of Bristol.

The University of Bristol is a highly ranked Russell Group university with a fantastic reputation. Students will join a global community of students from more than 150 countries, and enjoy life in one of the UK’s most exciting cities.

Expertise in modern languages has never been more important as the United Kingdom forges a new relationship with its European partners and seeks to develop its trading and cultural ties throughout the world. The University of Bristol is a major centre for the study of modern languages and cultures.

This course will broaden horizons and extend linguistic and critical skills.

Italian language and culture have had a lasting impact on Europe. Today, Italy's innovative contributions to design, technology and fashion mean that it is a major global commercial force.

Russia continues to assert itself as an independent, powerful, political and economic force, so Russian expertise is increasingly important in a range of professions.

At Bristol students can learn one language from beginner level, or build on existing study at A-level, while exploring the nations' histories and cultures. Both small but distinguished departments offer a lively, friendly and supportive environment.

In language classes, students will develop speaking, listening, reading, writing and translation skills using a range of textbooks, media and internet resources. They will divide their third year between Italy and Russia on work or study placements.
