Program Description

Build a future by studying in the UK, with a pathway course at Kaplan International College (KIC) London. Situated in the world’s top academic city (QS Best Student Cities 2019), the College will prepare students for a university degree, and for a successful career.

Study at one of the most respected international colleges in London, and progress to one of 8 universities, including the University of Bristol.

The University of Bristol is a highly ranked Russell Group university with a fantastic reputation. Students will join a global community of students from more than 150 countries, and enjoy life in one of the UK’s most exciting cities.

This degree combines theatre with the study of Italian, the language of a culture that has had a lasting impact on Europe. Today, Italy's innovative contributions to design, technology and fashion make it a major global commercial force. The course offers an enriching experience with exciting intellectual challenges and a wide range of options that will allow you to pursue independent interests.

Both departments encourage strong synergy between research and teaching, resulting in a vibrant learning environment as staff incorporate new research into their classes.

The theatre course will allow students to develop their understanding and practical skills by exploring critical and historical frameworks alongside practical workshops. There are opportunities to engage with professional theatre makers and museum-accredited archive, the Theatre Collection.

For Italian, as well as following a structured language course, students will build practical skills and explore critical and historical frameworks through literature, film, history, thought, politics, linguistics and culture. They will spend their third year abroad in an Italian-speaking country, extending language skills and cultural knowledge.

When students return to Bristol for the final year they will have the opportunity to undertake an independent practical or written research project and/or a work placement in the creative industries.
