Program Description

Build a future by studying in the UK, with a pathway course at Kaplan International College (KIC) London. Situated in the world’s top academic city (QS Best Student Cities 2019), the College will prepare students for a university degree, and for a successful career.

Study at one of the most respected international colleges in London, and progress to one of 8 universities, including the University of Bristol.

The University of Bristol is a highly ranked Russell Group university with a fantastic reputation. Students will join a global community of students from more than 150 countries, and enjoy life in one of the UK’s most exciting cities.

Criminology is a multidisciplinary subject comprising elements of sociology, law, social and public policy, history, psychology and philosophy. BSc Criminology with Study Abroad is an exciting course that gives students the opportunity to study criminology within a broader framework of policy studies.

The course will provide students with an understanding of crime and related social harms and an analysis of public policy interventions that contribute towards a safer and harm-free society.

The course follows a similar structure to the three year BSc in Criminology. In the first and second years students will take a range of mandatory and optional units that introduce them to the interdisciplinary study of criminology.

Students will spend their third year at a partner institution overseas, where they can take criminology or broader social sciences, arts and humanities subjects. For more information about studying overseas see Global Opportunities.

They will return to Bristol for the final year of the course, which is identical to the third year of the BSc Criminology, and will complete a dissertation and further criminology-related units.
