Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Communications and English

专业介绍

The Communications and English degree will address these issues explicitly by developing their knowledge and understanding of the way in which literary, media and other texts have shaped and continue to shape the fundamental contours of our world. Student will study English literature in its pasts, presents and futures, explore the globality of English literary texts, as well as develop an understanding of the psychological. sociological, and political dimensions of contemporary communications processes and practices.

With these in focus, the course will offer an interdisciplinary approach to English and Communications in order to analyse and explain the complex interrelations between social, political, institutional and technological dimensions of speech, text and media, with a specific emphasis upon the way that an understanding of these is key to unlocking the employability potential of undergraduates in the Humanities for future, high skilled, professional roles.
