Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Entrepreneurship and Theatre

专业介绍

The BA (Hons) Entrepreneurship and Theatre programme focuses on developing creativity and theatre-making skills alongside building a strong foundation in entrepreneurship, enabling graduates to launch their own business ventures or introduce innovation within existing organisations.

The course combines practical theatre work with theoretical research and analysis, exploring key themes including workshop preparation, rehearsal strategies, directing, and stagecraft. Entrepreneurship is approached as a highly practical discipline, with significant emphasis placed on real-world learning.

Academic expertise is used to form strong links between business theory, entrepreneurial frameworks, and the practical realities of operating within today’s enterprise environment.

Most theatre modules are delivered at Derby Theatre, allowing students to study and work within a professional theatre setting. Sharing the theatre environment with professional artists creates valuable opportunities for work-based learning placements and direct engagement with industry practitioners. The programme benefits from a successful history of collaboration with external organisations and artists, both locally and internationally, enriching the learning experience through exposure to professional practice and global perspectives.
