London Metropolitan University's four-year degree in fashion textiles has a built-in preparatory year, which, through its exciting and imaginative approach to teaching, will help students discover their potential within different creative practices offered in the School of Art, Architecture and Design.

The foundation year will offer a balance of studio and workshop practice with lectures in critical and contextual studies, which will frame creative practice in historical, contemporary and cultural discourse. In those lectures and seminars students will find an emphasis on a thorough engagement with materials, forms and processes combine with intellectual skills, such as observation, analysis, discrimination, innovation and creativity. The programme will encourage personal research, exploration and development as a means to bring individual interests and styles to creative practice of students.

An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
