2-Semester Pathway - Pre-Master's Programme - Master of Arts - Philosophy

专业介绍

The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Program is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The program will allow students to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master’s degree studies.

The duration of the Level 6 program is two semesters. Each semester consists of a minimum of 13 teaching weeks. Students will be expected to timetable self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the program and to allow candidates to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate program.

The Master of Arts in Philosophy will give graduates:

• a firm grounding for advanced work in philosophy (either at the master's level or in preparation for a Doctor of Philosophy)
• thorough training in research skills
• the opportunity to choose which areas of philosophy they would like to focus on.
