The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is a two-semester programme, with guaranteed progression to a wide range of Master’s degrees at Loughborough University.

This Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The PMP will allow them to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master's degree studies. They will study academic modules relating to their chosen progression route. Each semester consists of thirteen teaching weeks, one reading week, and an assessment week. The weekly hours of study varies by semester with them on average studying around 18-21 (and up to 21) hours per week. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the programme and to allow them to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate programmes. Assessments will include coursework, essays, reports and other structured assignments, oral examination and unseen written examinations.

Master of Science - Strength and Conditioning:

The Master of Science - Strength and Conditioning programme provides bespoke research-informed modules to develop students' knowledge of all topics relevant to strength and conditioning. The programme capitalizes on the Loughborough University's sporting strengths to enable the provision of hands-on coaching experience, designed to give them the tools to develop athletic performance at the highest level. They will focus on the science and practice of strength and conditioning, as well as the fundamental science underpinning performance adaptations. They will also immerse themselves in the strength and conditioning environment and have the opportunity to apply for an extended coaching placement with either Loughborough University performance athletes or external sport partners.
