The postgraduate pathway is for students who do not meet the traditional entry requirements for Year 0 (Master's Degree) or who would benefit from additional academic preparation. Students can begin their postgraduate pathway at ICP and graduate from the University of Portsmouth with a world-class qualification.

The course is intended for teachers, trainers, lecturers and instructors in the state, private, public, commercial or voluntary sectors of education and training who aspire to senior management positions. Many graduates of the course attain senior management positions in education or training organizations.

Whether students are an education professional or someone with an interest in the field, this MA Education Studies degree course will give students the skills to critically reflect on contemporary national and global educational issues – from the changing purpose of education and educational psychology to the ways in which policy and practice influence the lives of students.

Students will focus on all levels of education, including schools, colleges, universities and continuing professional development. They'll learn to handle complex issues at an advanced level and if they're already in a professional role, they'll develop the skills needed to lead in education policy and pedagogy, enhancing their career prospects.
