The MSc Advanced Practice is designed to help registered health and social care professionals progress in their careers by strengthening clinical expertise, leadership capability, and research skills. As health and social care systems increasingly integrate to better support individuals, families, and communities, there is a growing demand for practitioners with advanced, master’s-level qualifications.

This programme enables practitioners to build on their existing knowledge and apply it critically across key areas such as clinical assessment, analytical thinking, and research. A strong emphasis is placed on person-centred care, with service users and carers positioned at the heart of clinical practice. Students examine how their perspectives can inform policy, enhance service delivery, and improve professional communication and leadership.

The course is available as a full-time programme, with a part-time option for UK-based professionals. Students can complete the MSc Advanced Practice as a general degree or choose from a range of specialist pathways, including Diabetes Care.
