The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is a two-semester programme, with guaranteed progression to a wide range of Master’s degrees at Loughborough University.

This Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The PMP will allow them to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master's degree studies. They will study academic modules relating to their chosen progression route. Each semester consists of thirteen teaching weeks, one reading week, and an assessment week. The weekly hours of study varies by semester with them on average studying around 18-21 (and up to 21) hours per week. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the programme and to allow them to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate programmes. Assessments will include coursework, essays, reports and other structured assignments, oral examination and unseen written examinations.

Master of Science - Systems Engineering:

In an increasingly complex and interconnected world, industry and government need the transdisciplinary approach of Master of Science - Systems Engineering course to successfully create and sustain complex technical systems in tune with their environments. The graduates are equipped with the knowledge and expertise to manage end-to-end engineering of complex systems to ensure smooth and efficient delivery. Accredited by IMechE and IET, this programme is aligned to industry-standard competencies as defined by the International Council on System Engineering (INCOSE) and the Institute For Apprenticeships and Technical Education.
