As the healthcare industry evolves to better meet the needs of its users, professionals with healthcare expertise are needed to lead team, organization, and system-level changes. This 1-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate is designed for graduates of health programs or professionals with healthcare experience who wish to improve the quality and outcomes of care in healthcare organizations through data-informed change and thought innovation. It will equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to bring healthcare projects from ideation to close in collaboration with various stakeholders in accordance with healthcare regulations and policies. Through theoretical and practical courses, students will learn about traditional and agile project management approaches, procuring and managing healthcare resources and finances, and collecting healthcare data for research and quality improvement. Interactive learning opportunities will further hone their decision-making, interpersonal and leadership skills, and a capstone project will provide students with the opportunity to independently develop innovative solutions to real-world healthcare challenges.
