Program Description

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Strathclyde followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Strathclyde. Advancement into the intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The Pre-Masters in Business and Social Sciences will introduce students to the world of business and the application/theory of social science in everyday life. They will learn about the different political systems around the world and begin to understand how international issues are connected.

The translation industry is on the rise and specialist translators are highly sought after.

The integration of business knowledge and translation/interpreting skills will give students a competitive edge in the job market, opening up a broader range of career opportunities.

Through the skill-focused and practical nature of the course, students will gain invaluable industry experience and proficiency in translation and interpreting, which will potentially enhance your employability.

Strathclyde's lecturers have a wide range of practical and research experience in translation and interpreting.

The practical translation and interpreting sessions will include industry-based tasks.
