The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is a two-semester programme, with guaranteed progression to a wide range of Master’s degrees at Loughborough University.

This Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The PMP will allow them to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master's degree studies. They will study academic modules relating to their chosen progression route. Each semester consists of thirteen teaching weeks, one reading week, and an assessment week. The weekly hours of study varies by semester with them on average studying around 18-21 (and up to 21) hours per week. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the programme and to allow them to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate programmes. Assessments will include coursework, essays, reports and other structured assignments, oral examination and unseen written examinations.

Master of Science - Management:

The Master of Science - Management programme is designed to create the next generation of outstanding business managers and leaders. It is ideally suited to those students who have taken a non-business undergraduate degree, though those with a business background will be considered. They will learn the fundamentals of managing people and organisations and they will gain a good understanding of the primary factors shaping the contemporary business environment. The modules will see them develop an integrated and critically aware understanding of management. They will help them develop the skills they need to systematically and creatively apply their knowledge to complex issues to improve business and management practice. They will thereby acquire the practical capabilities needed for the challenges of the fast-paced business environment.
