Program Description

If you hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, but don’t meet the entry requirements for a master’s, a Pre-Master’s can help you gain a place on a postgraduate degree. For progression to the 1st year of a postgraduate degree at the University of York. Your course length is determined mainly by your English language level (UKVI IELTS score).

Students on all course lengths take a set of common or similar modules to gain a solid base of skills for university. If your course is longer than 2 terms, you’ll take additional modules designed to improve one or more of your English language level, academic skills, and basic knowledge of particular subjects.

Master of Science - Management with Business Finance

In a constantly-moving environment, students will need cutting-edge managerial knowledge and skills to make efficient business decisions.

If a student has a background in economics, finance or other quantitative subjects, this MSc can help them shift their focus to a more business-oriented course of study.

Students will be equipped with the technical knowledge needed to gather and analyse data, identify sources of finance and profit, formulate strategies and manage projects. The course will provide them with knowledge and skills for a range of management roles, particularly in the financial services industry, large public sector organisations and consultancies.
