The International Management MSc is designed to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of global and multicultural management. Throughout the course, students work on case studies and live client projects, applying their learning to practical business situations.

Students initially complete the same core modules as those on other management courses. At the end of the second term, they can choose to specialise in international management or continue on a broader route towards the Management MSc qualification.

The programme includes an optional placement or research year, allowing full-time students to extend their studies to two years and gain valuable professional or academic experience. This structure enables students to apply their academic knowledge in practice while graduating with relevant experience or advanced research skills.

The two-year route also provides international students with an opportunity to study in the UK for an extended period. A two-year international study visa route is available to support eligible international students seeking to complete the placement or research year.

Work placement partners include globally recognised organisations such as BMW, Bosch, Deloitte, Disney, Hewlett Packard, HSBC, IBM, Ipsos Mori, L’Oréal, Nike, Panasonic, PwC, Renault and Warner Bros. Students may also gain experience with smaller businesses and local enterprises.

The research year allows students to undertake in-depth independent research on campus in a subject aligned with the expertise of the course team. It is designed to develop advanced research skills and support progression to further study or research-focused professional roles.

A dedicated Placements and Employability team supports students in finding suitable opportunities. Assistance may include CV reviews, mock assessment centres, interview preparation and coaching to help students progress through recruitment processes.
