• People who aspire to help people and society — whether individually as an educator, on a larger scale as a manager or director shaping policies and services, as a researcher uncovering new understanding of public health, or in many other roles that influence public health.
• Varied backgrounds welcome.
• If students studied public health, this MPH program will further their skills and competencies.
• If applicants are looking to transition into public health, no prior exposure or experience with public health is required. Students will gain exposure to the field, learn new skills, and gain hands-on experience. Students do need to complete the prerequisite coursework listed on the MPH apply page.
• Public health especially complements nursing, legal studies, education, data analytics, community youth development, life/lab science, physical therapy, occupational therapy, communication sciences and disorders, sustainability, and ethical data science.
