Loughborough University's Master of Science in manufacturing engineering programme is designed to prepare students for an effective career as a technologist or manager who can meet the engineering, business and societal challenges of rapidly changing global manufacturing markets and industries.

The programme is directly informed by the world-leading manufacturing research, which is driven by close collaborations with industry. Students will benefit from the industry informed modules allowing them to deliver high-quality research with industrial impact, benefiting their future endeavours and university's reputation as a world-leading research institution. They will have access to high-tech laboratories, world-leading researchers, computer labs and some of the latest industry standard software.

During the summer, students may be given the exciting opportunity of a micro-placement project. These placements are arranged in collaboration with the existing industrial partners and alumni contacts and aim to provide them with hands-on practical experience, working on appealing projects relevant to their course.
