Program Description

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the Pre-Master's programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The Pre-Masters in Business, Media and Social Sciences, provides a route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. English language and career skills are combined with subject-specific modules such as social sciences, cultural studies, a variety of business skills like accounting and business management to provide you with a strong foundation for your chosen business, media and social sciences degree.

Enhance your understanding of international business with the Master of Science in International Business Economics. You gain a solid grounding in economic theory that explains business behaviour – both at firm-level and within the global macroeconomy.

You’ll study microeconomic principles relating to the theories of firms and consumers. We also cover macroeconomic principles underpinning national and international economies.

You’ll also learn about managerial economics and how firms optimise their human resources. This expands your employment opportunities in the business, management and financial sectors. And you’ll gain the skills – and have the opportunity – to undertake independent research in an area of business economics.
