专业介绍

Mathematics is a dynamic and evolving discipline with numerous fascinating applications. It is frequently employed to address challenges across various fields, including the sciences, the arts, and business. When real-world problems are framed within mathematical constructs, they can be resolved in an efficient and reliable manner. As a student of Mathematics, individuals will explore the significant reliance of modern business models on probability and statistics, which were initially developed through the analysis of astronomical data, census information, and gambling scenarios. This serves as a prime example of why mathematics has been, and will continue to be, of vital importance to the world in which we live.

The Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics underscores the significance of mathematics and statistics within the natural, physical, and computational sciences. Students have the opportunity to combine the Mathematics program with various other disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, and Computer Science, thereby enhancing their interdisciplinary knowledge and skills.
