PhD by Publication program is an alternative pathway to a traditional Doctoral Degree, specifically designed for individuals who have already made significant contributions to their field through published research. This program recognizes the candidate's previous work, allowing them to submit a portfolio of research journal publications as the core component of their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) submission, rather than writing a traditional dissertation or thesis.

Applicants must submit at least five (5) research journal publications listed in high-impact indexed journals (SCOPUS/WOS/ERA) within ten (10) years prior to the application as a requirement for entry into this method. These journals must be related to each other and published in the same field.

The study duration for the PhD Publication Method is 6 months to 1 year for full-time students, and 1 to 2 years for part-time students. This method is open to local students for both full-time and part-time study modes, and international students for full-time study only. However, for international students, the minimum allowed duration for this method is 1 year.
