专业介绍

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education is a four-year program that prepares students for certification to teach K-12 visual arts or pursue another professional career. This program is offered in conjunction with the School of Education to ensure that students are equally and comprehensively exposed to the academic and artistic components of the degree. Students will also choose one of six specializations: ceramics, painting, printmaking, graphic design/multimedia, photography or sculpture.

As a Graphic Design student, students will learn a rich array of graphic design tools and work with faculty to broaden their understanding of the design field. They will utilize design thinking to work in both self-initiated and client-associated environments. They will be prepared to work at the best agencies and studios in careers such as art director, web and app designer, production artist and branding designer. Courses and field-based internships help students develop innovative and mature portfolios. Distinguished and professionally active graphic design faculty represent the diversity of contemporary design practice, research and pedagogy. Graduates are successful in the competitive job market.
