International direct admission to Louisiana State University (LSU) is available for international students with advanced English-language skills. The program focuses on academic, cultural, and professional growth to help students excel in school and prepare for a successful future.

The Louisiana State University Computer Science undergraduate program, offered through the College of Engineering, provides students with a variety of opportunities to take courses in core and applied areas of computer science, as well as engage in research, summer internships, and co-ops. Students can choose from four concentrations:

• Software Engineering (SE) Concentration
• Cloud Computing and Networking (CCN) Concentration
• Data Science and Analytics (DSA) Concentration
• Computer Science and Second Discipline Concentration

Upon graduation, students will demonstrate:

Software Engineering focuses on applying engineering principles to software design, development, and maintenance. Subdisciplines include requirements engineering, software design, construction, testing, maintenance, configuration management, and software quality management. Emerging opportunities in the field include app development, digital media, mobile devices, entertainment software design, and gaming.
