专业介绍

This degree prepares students for a career as a speech-language pathologist, with an emphasis on obtaining licensure in Missouri and a Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language-Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

The Communication Disorder Program is a nationally-accredited program where graduates are sought after by employers. Graduates of the program will pass the national Praxis exam, qualify for state licensure, meet ASHA certification requirements, and find employment opportunities in either educational or medical settings.

Graduate majors in communication disorders are required to three semesters of on-campus clinical practicum prior to any externship experiences. One credit hour of this enrolled class consists of clinical seminars conducted via a weekly clinical meeting.
